Carb questions

 Few questions, My front carb is leaking a little fuel around the upper body and I cant get an idle. the bike barely runs,and I have bid on a keyster carb kit so i can rebuild the carb.  My only real question is that my bike is an 82 and the kit is for an 83. I know they used different jet sizes for each year and i was wondering if I can still use the rest of the kit and just not switch jets, or if I should rebuild both carbs with full 83 kits, or what. any advice ???-thekid

I forgot to include that i have a mac exhaust on the bike and the carbs are actually upgraded 82's.

83 carbs are completely different.  post a url to the carb kit.

83 carbs are completely different from 82.  The kits will not interchange.
