If you have seen my earlier topic about starter problems you will know that I have the well known problem of a cracked starter clutch. I am looking for someone out there who has one for sale ( two actually cos my spare is cracked too ). But in the meantime I have seen posts where the clutch has been TIG welded. I have a few questions.

1, Was the repair successful and permanent or was it just a temporay and failed again some time later.

2, Was the housing that covers the clutch removed?

3, If so how?

4, Are the rollers and springs still available?

Got two good bikes here stood waiting a repair or replacement!!! Anybody please help!!!
