I went to the local shop and asked for Yamabond 4 that I saw recommended in this fourm. All they sold was Yamabond 5. Is the 5 the next version of what was the 4, or does the 4 and 5 denote different uses? Thanks for any thoughts.

NO, # 5 is a hard setting type. DON"T use it. #4 is still available at my dealer. It is flexible...not like RTV silicones...but flexible. #4 is what you need...

Yamabond 4 and Threebond 1104 are the same thing.  Yamabond 5 is something different.  Ask for Threebond 1104 if they don't have Yamabond 4.  Usually they have one or the other.

Dosen't Honda sell  the same thing as "Honda Bond"?

Yes, and don't pay more than 5-7 dollars for any of the 3. I got a tube of Yamabond last year for $5.95 at my dealer. I think I saw a post where somebody paid over 10 bucks for a tube.
