83 Petcock Rebuild Kit

To verify if Lucky's comment about the option to use a universal petcock, do any starting difficulties arise by not having a primer option that feeds fuel directly to the manifold?

Lucky's petcock shown has an OFF . So the ON and RES=  prime on our stock units.  I run PRIME all the time. I have an electric fuel pump. Nothing gets to the carbs unless the key is ON.  ;D
