oil on the pet cock side of my tank??????

I noticed there is some oil on the bottom ridge of my tank near the pet cock which is wreaking havoc on the paint. It looks like blow-by or something, but there really isn't any oil anywhere else. Any ideas ???

Is the paint blistered ? Could the  problem be a small pinhole in the tank? :'( :'( :'(

i just finally fixed this on mine after putting up with it for a long time:
there are 2 small, 1/4" drain holes on the bottom of the airbox. excess blowby leaks out of the rear one. seal it up.

i will check out the air box and the tank although i am pretty sure it's oil not gas. umm I have a new problem....... my throttle cable broke on me today. :-[ :-[ I'm having problems finding a new one or even an after market one. Does any you folks got one or know  a good source for parts.

You should be able to get one from your local Yamaha stealer. Jason Morris has found  after market ,Motion Pro cables. They are available to dealers from Parts Unlimited or  Tucker Rocky.
When I checked both catalogs in spring 07 , they were not listed, but Jason has since found them available.

i am pretty sure it's oil not gas.

it would be oil, the blowby from the rear valve cover ends up dripping out this hole...
