Wheel bearing magic?

Yeah, the bearings are a match to the ones that I removed. Sorry, I should have mentioned that before. I don't have a caliper to measure exact dimensions, but it appears I'm gonna need one so I will try and pick one up soon.

I'm thinking it may be best to install another set and make sure it's all seated well, then do as you mentioned and give it a good whack to loosen things up a bit.

I can't really remove the bearings I just put in without damaging things because I can't seem to locate a soft punch set anywhere, so I'm brainstorming a way to get around this problem without having to remove these bearings and buy new ones.

If the whole thing was designed by engineers to fit and work, then there has to be a way to fit it so it works, right?  :D I'm gonna figure it out one way or another. Crossing my fingers, I'll get it done this evening.
