Wiring Harness Upgrade

Read where someone dipped their electrical connections in CLR and then coated them with silicone dielectric grease, has anyone actually tried this on a complete harness and had trouble free electrics ever since?  What about troublesome connectors?  Is this a good way to clean metal pins or is there a better method available? BDC

Are you talking about soaking the entire harness all at once or just the individual connectors?

dip in CLR, use a file or similar to clean, rinse with water, blow dry, appy protectant
