intake manifolds

just priced up some intake manifolds... $165 each :) and a 6 week wait from japan.
going to have to make my own.... are they the same on any other yamaha engine?

I got looking at the manifolds and they look like the same part with the only difference being the  brass tubes.  If this is the case I think you can still get one of them from Yamaha on line (and a lot less than $160 each).  If so, you could buy two of the same part# and convert the one by drill a hole and added the old brass tube from your old one.  Anyone follow me on this?  Has anyone tried this approach or are there more differences?

i dont even use the brass tubes on mine... so should be perfect.

so how do you run the petcock & fuel pump? and balance the carbs?

Sounds like possibly an electric fuel pump.

And I don't think he's running the stock carbs any longer? Single carb with the turbo?
