[Re-Vision]

Has anyone fabricated side covers,gas tanks,etc from other materials such as fiberglass,other plastics or even metal? Would it be legal for a manufacturer to sell them?  BDC

A guy named Recon visits the site once in a while has a few fabrication projects that he's talked about but I haven't seen anything finished yet.

There was an EPIC fabricator on here a while ago. He fabricated a one off widened fiberglass vision tank that i *think* ended up being a 7 gallon tank with a clear strip to see the fuel level.
Afaik, he also did an underengine exhaust system as well.

Emblems and badges might get you in trouble quickly.
But since they don't manufacture the other stuff you might get by.
Have you seen the thing they have on MythBusters?
They make a foam mold, and then vacuum mold some plastic over it... very cool
