Burned off wire

I have a burned and melted wire coming from solenold to fuse box and wireing harness..I bought the vision from my son and he switched engines and never got it running..Is there a wire hooked up wrong?
where should i look and did it fry some other stuff?

getting into a burned wire harness is often a can of worms, but it's surprisingly easy to replace our main harness. i've changed mine from the 82 to the 83, & it only took an hour or so (after removing the plastic, tank & fairing)

check Ebay & the swap shop for a harness, they come up very often.

The wire is melted close to the harness..I think I can splice in a wire.Plus I have a parts vision..for parts..
