Title: Power Jetting..
Post by: Hugh_Jass on January 03, 2003, 07:50:40 AM
I have an '82 and remember seeing a post on how to get more power from it by putting a different main jet for the front cylinder I believe.  What was the jet # and where can I purchase it.  I have never delt with jetting, are jets universal in that you can buy jets and put them in any Jap bike?

Any suggestion appreciated.

Assuming everything else on the carb is properly set up, Sync, pilot screws, carbs clean, airbox flapper operating properly, using # 135 pilot air jets on both carbs will increase midrange-high end power.  The jets are common, but not universal.  any well equiped bike shop or dealer should be able to match them up

Does this jet size apply to both 82 and 83 models? SInce the 83 runs larger carbs I did not know if this would still be a good size jet for them too.
