Oil pressure relief vlave

hello all.

I beleive that I have found the problem to my having no - low oil pressure...My bike has no oil pressure relief valve in it! I am not sure who the culprit is...the P.O. or me...anywho...

I found a parts bike that I may buy or I may just buy the valve. However I dont know if the parts bike is an 82 or an 83, the owner has to get back to me with the modle year. My pile is an 82....are the valves the same for both years?

what is a good price for just the used valve?

the parts bike has a locked engine and no carbs...but the TCI unit is good...the bike is coming from a man that I trust...if he says it works it does. I ma not sure if anything else is missing...could someone tell me what a parts bike like this is worth...the rest of the bike is in good condition.
