My V has been out of action for 3 months, but I got it going today after dinner, and headed out for a test ride.  In all my 41 years of driving, I have never had a kid run out in the street in front of me, but that is what happened tonight.  Very scary.

It seems like it went well.

There are several reasons for loving bikes - this has to be one of them. For - at last I believe - that I have better chances of not hurting anyone on a bike than in a car....

I thought about that too.  I'm not so sure I could have avoided her in my car.
