Master Cylinder

Is there a difference in the 82 and 83 master cylinder? I realize the 83 has dual disks but has anyone comapred the two?

I just did this swap couple of days ago. The 82 M/C has piston bore of 1/2 and the 83's bore is 5/8. The reservoir is abit larger in the 83 too. They both mount and hook up exactly the same. The lever feel is real,real firm you can only pull it in 1/2 inch max. I will be putting on the dual disc setup any day now. So the lever effort will drop some. Wait till you guys see what i found in my M/C. We couldn't believe it. Peace
