Carburetion Conundrum

What would be the best technique to remove and replace the nylon drain fittings on the bottom of front and rear carbs.  I have a carb junkbox with a spare set, any tricks I need to know before I try to remove them?  Thanks.  BDC

 :) As I said its not a replaceable part...however, as you now know, it is repairable... ;)
