Title: O-Ring? What O-ring?
Post by: dshaw340 on July 10, 2005, 03:20:47 AM
Finally I am putting the engine back together after getting the crankcase crank bearings from Japan.? I am now on to installing the cylinders and am not sure if each cylinder is supposed to have an o-ring around the dowel pin or if just one cylinder has the o-ring.? On my cylinders I have only one o-ring on one cylinder and I not sure if I lost the other one or not. Copy and past the following link into your browser and look at #10 in the diagram to see what I am talking about.? ?

You may have to enlarge it to see the o-ring.? I would really appreciate any help as I am so close and yet so far from getting this little jem on the road

Hi!
You can see a better quality picture att Yamaha Motor USA http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/parts/home.aspx.
Proceed to parts cataloge and chose product line, year and modell. Select cylinder in the left menu and you'll get att parts fiche with a list with part numbers. The list says you require 2 of those.
