Thanks guys for all the advice on tank repair and carb cleaning not too long ago.
The tank is finished. I cleaned the carbs last night and they are MUCH cleaner!
However, as I was attempting to remove a black plastic hose fitting, it broke off. If you go to the http://parts.yamaha-motor.com website and go to the parts catalog under 1982 XZ550RJ carburetor diagram, it's the fitting that hose #8 fits on, but it's not shown in the diagram. It's located on the top left of the front carb.
Does anyone know if I can find a replacement piece somehow, or know if superglue could do the trick? Open to suggestions. (SOL)
