Title: Fuel Pump Pressure?
Post by: Glyn on April 30, 2016, 08:28:01 PM
Does anyone know what the correct pressure a fuel pump should be producing? I sold my XZ to a mate who is now racing it and he wants to fit a comparable pump but would like to know the stock PSI rating. Would it be around 10psi? Cheers Glyn New Zealand.

When I was looking I couldn't find anything mentioned.  Ducati sites - they seem to recommend 2-3PSI max for electric pump conversions which they seem to do a lot.

I ended up getting this 2 PSI electric pump (http://www.fuelflow.co.nz/FF_cms_03/eshop?page=shop.product_details&category_id=41&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=76) made in NZ.  It will flow 1.5 litres a minute (a full tank in 11 minutes) so I think plenty even for hard core racers. Haven't tried it out yet.
