Theres a little hole full of dirt on the upper front half of the engine. Any idea if thats gunna be an issue?
Probably an insect so just clean it out. No problem. That bolt held a plastic heat shield or come to think of it a rubber grommet that the heat shield slid in to.
The heatshield is that plastic bit in the bottom left of the pic. It just needs to be moved to the right a bit
That is most probably from a wasp making a safe place for it's egg(s) to hatch out. We call that kind a "mud dauber" and they are common here in northern California. That one looks like the young wasp has already emerged. Just clear out the mud.
