Thanks for the warm welcome to the ROV. Thanks also for the good info and advice - today I took the starter clutch out of my Vision and found the bolts not quite falling out loose, but only a bit more than finger tight. Tomorrow I'm going to do the permanent repair, worries over. Someone advised me to check the starter seal while I had it apart, so I did, and boy am I glad I did! The seal had failed and the starter was beginning to fill with oil. Fortunately no damage was done, so I get out of it by just cleaning things up and replacing the seal with a good one. Again I am going to follow the advice presented on this board and get a good double lip spring seal. So thanks again for the welcome and the advice - you saved me some real headaches. ;D
