Title: Re: 400cc Vision for sale in UK
Post by: biaggi on January 19, 2004, 02:24:55 AM
My job is about to change so I no longer need the Vision.

If anyone is interested, drop me a line here or at stu2@ntlworld.com

Good condition, MOT and Tax until April, approx. 15k miles. Serviced about 2K miles ago.

Recent new parts - Electrex stator, new Yamaha R/R, starter relay and the starter motor bushes were replaced approx. 6 months ago and the spring seal fitted.

Basically all the little niggles sorted!!!

A big thanks to the board for helping me sort these little problems and especially to CanadianLouie for helping me track down a spring seal.

Hi,

I've been looking to buy a Vision for some time and wondered how much the 400 differs from the 550. Is it merely a smaller bore? or is the stroke/ valves etc different. There are far more
400's here in NZ than 550's.

Kind regards

Smaller bore, shorter stroke and different primary gear. Somebody, maybe it was Biaggi, posted a spec sheet a while back.

You can just about work it out. Put `Yamaha XZ400` in google and you get some interesting sites back.
