Title: Mac exhaust
Post by: zore on November 14, 2005, 10:56:41 PM
I'm happy to say that the new mac exhaust went from really annoying rasp to a decent tone.  I guess it took a while for a packing to losen up.

Mine still sounds like CRAP, loud and bad.  What can I use to re-pack it?  I love for it to sound less like two un-muffled dirtbikes running side by side, and more like a Ducati, you know - smooth.

I used stainless steel wool i ordered from McMaster-Carr (.com?) it should last a very long time ast it's stainless steel, it wasn't too expensive.. & i think i have a whole lot left.

be careful though, don't try to rip it into sections though, you'll shred your fingers, cut it with scissors or sheers.
