Starter Washers

Rebuilding starter from two bad ones, I've got several thrust washers and a couple of slightly thicker ones, can anyone tell how many washers should be used and where so I can rebuild it properly.  Couldn't find any info in the manuals or online.   BDC

I have two starters that need brushes, but I won't crack them open until I get the brushes from Tiger at our mid winter parts swap

If you need me to check, I can. I wasnt planning on opening it this soon, but I can. I need to re-do the nose cone seal. Need brushes too. Let me know. I dont mind.

I havent either,, I got one, but I havent opened mine to do that, yet. The upgrade seal has a "garter" spring in it, some have 2.

nope, they only have one spring.  you may have a double lip seal though...
