I am just bursting with joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally got my plates, sticker and insurance.  I am completely syched for this riding season.

Now to get the bike back together intime for some riding while the weather is still this nice around here.  I'm guessing I will be on the road in about 2 weeks max.

I was really psyched too, then my stupid car grenaded. Looks like it'll be a car summer this season. Bikes will get minimum attention necessary.

Congratulations are in order!  Look forward to seeing you around!  It's been lonely at the top having the only Mississauga Vision!

Well you'll definately hear me a few miles away since I have the MACS on.

BTW, I started the bike today for a bit of warmup.  It holds the idle nice and steady for about the first 15 minutes and then it starts to jump up a bit and the front cylinder seems to be backfiring aftarwards.

Since I have it at my workplace it is nice and warm inside so the enricher isn't required.  Three twists and press the button and slightly crack open the throttle and she usually starts within about 5 seconds.

What I noticed upon startup is that the front cylinder runs pretty cold at startup compared to the rear, and it stays like that for  a good long time.  Is it possible that the front is set richer than the rear?  Also like I said above, I am getting a little bit of back firing on the front cylinder (which is the lower pipe on the MACS).  I also can hear popping coming from the airbox, so I am assuming that the backfiring is also happening at the carb too (would that be called front firing?).

Do I change the sparkplugs? Or do I have to adjust and sync the carbs?

I'll check the sparkplugs tomorrow.  I did put in new ones back around October, and haven't really started her too much yet.  It's possible that they are fouled but we'll see.

:) Given that she has been sitting around your shop for, what... 1 1/2 years, she needs to be given a real good hard ride...A good boot up the 407 highway (with a tank of fresh gas!!) will help immensely.

ps I picked up your carb boots and spark plug wires/caps...but I don't know when I'll be down your way any time soon. You could come and pick them up.. ;)

I don't know about this weekend or tomorrow as well.  The wife and kids are coming back from her parents tomorrow afternoon and I bet I will have a few chores to do over the weekend.  But I'll see what I can do about coming up your way for a little visit.  Maybe a little tutoring will be necessary as well.
