FINALLY!!! WWWHHHOOOOHHHHHOOOOOO!!!!

Here's what I did:
Rescued her (I call her "Lady")
Battery
Stator/pick up coils/starter clutch rollers
Replaced fuse box
Gas tank - cleaned and double-lined
Starter
Brakes
Replaced fluids
COUNTLESS wiring problems (and probably ongoing)
and then VROOOM!!!! she came back to life...

I have the left-side casing gasket on back-order, but she's running sweet
I just finished the work tonight and got time to ride her (in the dark, but who cares)
Thanks for reading...

:) I can send you a left side cover gasket for less than the dealer, if you want one buddy... ;)

You have a few Visionaries around you...louthepou's in Ottawa, Wolf just over the border in Hudson Qc,
Kenny/Dorothy in Trenton, Squid in Kingston, shep1 is north of Kingston...I know I've forgotten someone (sorry)!!

Oh and if your interested, your more than welcome to come for the annual Spring Ride on the holiday weekend... http://ridersofvision.net/rovforum/index.php?topic=11561.0  8)

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA lets go again baby !!!!!!

'82 Vision, Pearl Orange finish, lots of up-grades!!!

Good to see another one saved! I just picked up some parts from one that didn't make it. The guy said the bike was in pretty good shape but no title. Kiss of death down here.
Whale oil beef hooked!

Tiger...I ordered it weeks ago, not thinking (also not part of the forum, yet)...but knowing their temperment, I may need one in the future, so good to know (I'm going to own her forever)...hopefully
Super knowing there are other Visionairies around me
As for the "annual Spring Ride on the holiday weekend", I can't make it this year, but maybe next, thank you for the invite

Walt_M. OMGoodness, that's terrible...I would hope running Visions be saved much as I did this one, still possible, even with no ownership (that's how I got the XS400, free) , and then again, parts are hard to find due to discontinuation...

Tiger

:) We also have a fall ride and several in between...and of course, you can always put a day/weekend ride on too ;)

According to Canadian_Lou, I carry more Vision parts than anyone else in Canada  :o ;D :D :D :D :D :D... 8) Let me know if you need anything...for your Vision, that is ;)

You can bet I will be joining you & other Visionairies at some point, I can't wait...I could also host a ride, we have some great landscape here and in the Gatineau Hills   ;D

John Pountney introduced himself by e-mail as did Cecil Cogswell and louthepou (we will be meeting sometime this summer). He works in Gatineau Park and he said he's thinking of putting together a ROV ride, so it's quite exciting...Gatineau Park has some of the best landscape and riding in the world..., louthepou sounds like a super guy and I can't wait to introduce him to my lady, I brought her home today    ;D
