See: http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/1785920916.html  for details. Sounds like it may be fun. My XZ550 is nowhere near running, so I'll be taking the old girl CB-1100F.

Despite intermittent rain this was fun, especially for me: http://www.weaverfever.com/photo_detail.asp?photo=485710

Pics of some of the bikes that showed up are at: http://www.weaverfever.com/Photo_gallery.asp?category=&page=2

This bike especially got my attention: http://www.weaverfever.com/photo_detail.asp?photo=485712

Here's video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meI6TlTNVDw

I'm thinking I want to do my Vision along these same lines.

Anyone have any advice?

Hey Frank,

Sorry I missed this note  :-\...sounds like a great event, would have been a good ride too!

On another note, how about coming up to Ontario for our fall ONROV ride?  I just noticed that you are in the Rochester area, practically next door.  Two of us blew by your place a few weeks back on Visions  :police:.  It's not more than 2 hours away even poking along.  There will be a couple of our American contingency coming right by your place on Sept. 17th so grab your passport and come over for some Canadian hospitality.  What do you need to get the Vision rolling?

Cndlouie, what are the the where and when details of the 9/17 ride?

Tiger

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA lets go again baby !!!!!!

'82 Vision, Pearl Orange finish, lots of up-grades!!!

Hello Houston, Texas! Of course you are invited too and what a daring ride that would be! Check out Tiger's post as it's an annual thing.

One of these days I have to visit my sister in drop by your area too.

Good to hear from ya!

I may do that, but my xz550 won't be ready. I just bought a nice used Mac exhaust on ebay for under $80, so that part is taken care of. I've decided to make mine into a street rod/cafe/bobber instead of a full-faired sport tourer.  Stock engine and suspension, stock wheels, but a better looking tank, solo seat, a Honda CB1100F front fender, round headlight and gauges, that sort of thing.  I have a picture in my head of what I want it to look like. It'll have a black Mac exhaust, paint as glossy as I can make it, and lots of engine-turning on the motor.

If I do take part in the Fall ride, it'll be on my trusty '83 CB1100F.

Vision Forever,

That would be nice too, bring the 1100F up and enjoy the company.  Keep us posted on progress it sounds like a nice idea. The Vision is pretty much a universal motorcycle that can be tweeked any way you want. We have a few nice looking Visions that come to the ride which is a treat to see.

Biggest challenge will be the gas tank. My thinking is to cut the underside from one of my tanks and graft it to a teardrop-shaped tank of some sort, maybe from a Yam 650. Not easy, but what is?
