.........brand new, in the box, for only $125.00!!!...Not as elaborate as Yellowjackets, however, it will do me for a more up-to-date, precise, speedometer!!!

What are "pilot lights"?  Can it be programed to read out in miles?

fret not

It appears to be similar to the Trail Tech "Vapor" unit in function, and the price you got is about what the Trail Tech unit retails for.  I have no idea how they actually compare but they look pretty similar from this side of the computer screen.
Retired, on the downhill slide. . . . . . . . still feels like going uphill!

Tiger, specs say it uses a reed switch for the speedo..  so does the bike for the self canceling turn signals.  just thought it was worth a mention..

Looks very similar to the one I have.  They use a reed switch of the speedo but they do have an optional direct fit for our speedo sending unit on the hub which is what I'm using.

They are not a direct replacement and do involve quite a bit of wire cutting and splicing but fortunately I took some notes and can send them to you if needed.

It is (should be) capable of metric and imperial as mine is.

Its nice to have an accurate speedo after quite a bit of tinkering.  I had to do trial and error in order to get it accurate but my settings should work on The Mistress if you need.

I'm still not able to get the tach to function properly as it jumps around quite a bit.  I think it may have to do something with our "lost spark" soI have to tinker more to get it right.

Good find tiger.  I think I posted a tutorial with pics that should help guide you if needed.
