I haven't got a reply in that regard yet.  I sent the tach to my brother in Utah, then he finds out it is made for a snowmobile and runs off a lighting coil that provides 2 pulses per rev.  Fortunately it didn't cost much, I guess that's why.  Its still a possibility if we get it working.  I'll put up some pics when I return if I can figure how to put them up.
