MAC muffler system components

I recently purchased a MAC muffler system.  There were 3 pieces in the box. Two muffler cans, and one collector pipe that fits the front cylinder.

There was no rear collector included.  The part may have been lost or scavenged, OR, did the mfg. expect that the original rear collector would be used?

Did you MAC owners receive a rear collector, or for that matter any bolts/nuts/clamps/hangers or instructions with your systems?

Hi Darrell.
For a Vision right?  Your supposed to reuse the rear Y pipe.  the kit should include clamps for the front & rear pipes, 2 straight, flat hangers, nuts, bolts & lock washers, and one L shaped bracket that serves as a stop for the center stand (although I tossed this lame piece of metal, as it just bent after a few uses, with no ill effects)
Quick response huh? :D (I was reading other posts here at the time)

It sounds like you are missing the s shaped , rear  exhaust pipe that connects the  Y pipe to the upper muffler. You might contact MAC and see if they can help you.  I believe there near Toronto ,Canada. See the links page on this site for there email address.

Thanks for the fast replies. Wow!

I was off composing email to the shop I bought the system from, and to macperformance.com to see if they could shed any light on this.
There were no instructions in the box on mounting either, so I had no way of knowing how they intended to hang the thing.

My Vision ('82 w/fairing) has the stock muffler on it now.  It rusted off at the crossover box where the rear pipe stub is welded on.  There's also a bulge and rusty cracks on the outside of the right megaphone can.

If this deal falls through I should probably try to get some stainless pipes bent, and use a slip-on, or SuperTrapp(s)

I thought they were a Canadian company, too, until I went to their website printed on the side of the box.

I suppose I should register on this forum, and be something other than a "guest".

My Vision was running pretty good until I grounded it for a muffler.

I purchased it new in early 1983.  I've had a stator rewound (hard-wired the connectors!), new seal & brushes in the starter, replaced/repaired some damage when the wind blew it over, seat reupholstered, and other than tires & batteries, that's about it.  I just got a nice windshield with a 2" flared extension from Gustafsson Plastics...old one was yellowed and crazed.
Gustafsson also has stock sizes, and COLORS! All a bit pricey, though.

Repaint is next.

Just a note, when I attached mine it was easiest to reattach the rear exhausts by assembling the clamps, rings, and gaskets; THEN slipping the exhaust pipe into them. Trying to do it the other way round was endlessly frustrating and I wasted a lot of time. Access is a bit of a pain to the rear cylinder.
