I'm looking to purchase one.
Probably anywhere from 09-2011 year model.
Any problems i should be looking out for?  Any comments?
Just gathering as much info before making a purchase.

They way my mind works...
My bike is for speed and gas mileage ( well, its fast enoughf or me ).
So it will sort of even out the slowness and poor gas mileage of a jeep.
Plus, it can tow a trailer with a motorcycle or two

Are you Planning on lifting this jeep or anything or just keep it stock and not wheel it or anything?

I dont plan on lifting it, keeping it pretty much stock. I ma do some engine mods, but not any time soon.

my best friend has an 07 4 door and the only thing he has complained about is the traction control counter reacting the steering stabilizer. that and one o the shock mounts broke. but his is also lifted on 35" tires. still gets 16-18 mpg though

I ended up getting a 2010 Wrangler Sahara with about 20k miles on it.
It's been a blast to drive !
I took the soft top off on saturday so i could drive down to the dealer and pick up the hard top.
It's surprisingly comfortable topless.  I was doing about 70mph, top completely gone, windows up and could have a conversation with my friend.
I'm averaging 16mpg at the moment, but it keeps going up slowly.

one of the best things you could do to increase your MPG is get a K&N CAI (Cold Air Intake) for it. or the K&N drop in filter is compairable in quality & do almost the same thnig with out the deep "growling" noise from the CAI.     Plus some double platnium plugs and a 8.8mm spark plug wires will help with fuel economy as well!!!  ;-)

i have a '94 wrangler (4.0l I6) with a 3 inch body lift; axel swap from a 4 cyl (front and rear)   the axel flip and 38" mud tires     cruises along @ 70-75 mhp and goes through just about anything!!

right now it needs some tlc so everything has been taken apart waiting for some xtra $$ to sand blast every thing again and repaint it as well as a newer motor out of a 99 grand cherokee ( roughly 35 more hp than original motor)

I have been thinking about the cold air intake.
BTW, i love the jeep, its soooooo much fun to drive!
I have the soft top on at the moment, and i can hear all kinds of noises :).
If i put the hard top on, it's like having a small SUV.
Driving it , with the top off, is so much fun.
The gas mileage sucks, but i can ride the bike to even it out.
I think i will get a cold air intake in the near future, i've always had good luck with K&N

often overlooked fuel milage booster: replace your O2 sensors even if you don't have a check engine light on, especialy if they have over 40-50K on them.
