How do I install MAC system

I just got a MAC system and I could use some advice on how to install it.  My main question is, how do I get the old piece that connected to the rear cylinder out from between the frame and engine.  I hear tell you unbolt one of the frame mounts and pivot the engine.  If so what is the best way of going about this.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

Glen and I didn't have to do any of that. here's my advice.
the night before spray all the exaust mounting bolts with PBlaster.  you can get it at pep boys. this stuff is awesome at penetrating rusted bolts, etc.

try not to dammage the clamps as even a system with rusted out mufflers has some value, the mufflers from MIVV will replace the stock ones for $150 is plus shipping from the UK, so they might be of some value to some one.

put the bike on the center stand.

loosen the clamp bolts on the collector where the head pipes slide in

loosen the head pipe bolts at the front of the engine

loosten the clamp bolt on collecter "Y" pipe.

remove the mounting bolts that hold the mufflers to the rear peg brackets.

it would be helpful to have an assistant to keep the bike steady now,  pull back on the mufflers/collectoers and wiggle them free.

remove the head pipes .

you will need 2 new gaskets for the front pipes, be sure to get ALL the old ones out. i had to use a pic and SMALL chisel.

(if i type the word "small" in capitol letters, is that an oxymoron?)

CAREFULLY fit the Mac headpipes in and start the bolts carefully. they seem to fit very tight against the collar holes. you don't want to cross thread them.

you will have to tweak the centerstand stop bracket to line up properly.

I found it difficult to get at the hardware on the clamps , so I removed the rear wheel !  this provides all the room you need to get at things, Its easier to get the PBLASTER in the right spots from the rear too.
