what is the switch that is in the clutch perch for? i cant seem to find it in the haynes manual. ??? Mine is busted and i just wanted to know if i needed it.

Its the clutch safety switch.

Works along with the Sidestand relay.  

I believe it lets you start the bike in gear.  Its important to have unless you disable the whole safety system.

i have already disabled the side stand relay and the rev limiter. i cut the proper wires at the TCI. well i cut the wires that it said to on this or  lucky's site.
