Starter Gear (In need)

I just got a starter from a fellow ROV but it did not have the gear that I need on the end that engages the teeth on the gear in the crankcase.  I see it illustrated in the tech rebuild section. Anyone have a spare??  Also what holds it on the end of the starter shaft? I don't see a hole for a roll pin.

it's held on by an 'E' clip, there should be a groove on the shaft.  can you reuse your old one?

The starter I bought did not have that 'starter gear" or the "circle clip". (I looked them up on the Yamaha parts website)  I don't have either one.  :(

Man, I was already to get this baby back to life and another delay.

 :) MG, I think Lucky was refering to the gear from the original starter motor on your Vision...

Yep I think you are right Tiger. I bought a package deal. One good running Vison. One that does not need a whole lot, and two more parts bikes. I still have to pick up the two parts bikes and I don't know what all is on them or missing. The 2nd bike did not have a starter so there was no gear to use. I bought a starter from a fellow ROV but it did not have the starter gear or clip.
