"Night-Terror" is on the road. Passed safety inspection, plated and insured. I put 70K on it Friday evening, with no problems what-so-ever. She starts easy, idles good, pulls good right to redline, probably runs as good as a new bike. I had plans this weekend that meant I would not be able to ride, so I lent her to my dad (who hasn't riden a bike for about 25 years), now I don't think I will be getting her back!!! He has gone through a full tank of gas, and then some. He convinced me to let him keep her for the week. I guess I had better get #2 up and running. ;)

Great news!  You're right, though - your dad may just decide to keep it!

At first, when you said you put 70K on it, my initial thought was 70,000 miles!  Then I thought, "Wow, that's a fast bike!"  Takes me a second or two to realize that there are a bunch of Visionaries who live in the metric world.   ;D

If you have an accident on a motorcycle, it's always your fault. Tough call, but it has to be that way. You're in the right, and dead -on a bike. The principle is not to have any accident. If you're involved in an an accident, it's because you did not anticipate. Then, by default, you failed.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA lets go again baby !!!!!!

'82 Vision, Pearl Orange finish, lots of up-grades!!!

QuoteWhat do you need for #2

The short list (off the top of my head):
1) Right side under seat plastic
2) LHS cover (I didn't win the one on ebay - I was busy messing around in the garage when the auction ended, guess I should move the PC out to the shop!!)
3) Handle bar risers
4) Grips
5) Clutch Lever
6) Reflector for the rad cover
7) Engine side cover gaskets
8) Flywheel bolt (this one is a long story!!! - OUCH!!!)
9) Fuse Box replacement
10) Plugs/Wires/Caps
11) Battery
12) Likely a rear tire
13) Ownership (another long story - let's just say I am not spending any more $$$ until this works itself out)

Sounds like I need a "Tiger's Re-store your Vision to 20-20" Kit  ;D ;D ;)

Great...Now I can't decide whether I should buy "The Fat lady" or that beauty '83 in Aurora. I am planning to go see it on Saturday....

Avatar's can be deceiving... ;D That is the "before" picture of the bike, taken the day it followed me home. It was in pretty sad condition.
