if paint is good, tank not rusted, and seat hasn't been chewed by dogs or chickens ,,, i ,too , say 500.00 , carbs can be fixed ,,,, rest takes some work .
keep your bike running, your beer cold ,and your passport handy.all are like money in the bank .

Been stored isn't always a good thing.  Rubber tends to rot.  Fluids tend to break down etc, but heck, there are very few Visouns that hadn't "been stored".  Mine was stored outside under a deck for 12+ years.  Its a beaut now.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA lets go again baby !!!!!!

'82 Vision, Pearl Orange finish, lots of up-grades!!!

QBS

New battery
New fork seals
New tapered steering head bearings
New tires
Carbs rebuilt
Starter motor seal replaced
Reattach starter clutch

Tank condition: unknown

Stick a price on each of the above, total them, and subtract from $1300.00USD.

Lucky

are you selling or buying? if your buying, do you still have your old one?

I'm looking at a new one for a friend. I still have mine but had a "bad" back surgery a few years ago and have been "off the road" since. I'm just getting back to the ride.

**Edit** Since my last posts (a few years ago) I've been collecting and fixing arcade machines.

Theres actually a reason for that....Most of the day I use a tablet PC which has no keyboard on which I write with a digital pen.  My handwriting it probably worse than my typing though, but the software turns my handwriting into text and when I hit "Post" it shows up in the box.  The spell checker still works for that but I'm not in the habit of using it.  I guess my handwriting is one of the bad traits of a healthcare professional.
BTW...didn't you know that we call them Visuns down here in the South?  ;D  ;D ;D

David, thanks for the spelling explanation. I was beginning to think you were having seizures and no one wanted to tell you about it!
