Well i've just decided that im going to be riding my vision from February till March, then im riding my gsxr 750 daily. Just wondering what would make the vision a little bit more reliable? Because last time I rode it daily for about a month usually it would never start, or it dies at intersections...... Bike has a full tune up on it which includes new oil, filters, spark plugs, battery, carbs rebuild, front brakes rebuilt, and fork seals. What else could make this bike more reliable?

thanks ???

Had a similar problem situation with my '83.  Assuming that your carbs are really clean, well synched, and well adjusted, consider new plug wires or at least new plug caps.  Plug wires and caps fixed my engine stopping problem.  It seems that the resistors in the caps fail and really resist.  I'll provide more details if requested.

The one thing that makes a Vision more reliable is riding time.  if your just gonna ride it a month... might as well not ride it at all.....

:) The first season of riding a Vision is one of dumping the "gremlins" and putting the "good" back in to her. Generally, the second season is much more enjoyable. ultimately these old girls like to be ridden often and ridden hard... 8)

A set of new plug wires and caps wouldn't hurt her... ;)

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA lets go again baby !!!!!!

'82 Vision, Pearl Orange finish, lots of up-grades!!!

OOO yeah I ride her hard, had her to the dragstrip twice, leaving at 8000 RPM with a 60 foot of usually 2.1 ish. Best 1/8 was 9.34

Check for loose connections.  Mine died occasionally because of a loose connection at the fuse block.
