Tragedy just across the river over in Iowa from where I live. Four bikers on I-29 perhaps heading for Sturgis, don't know yet. They were in a construction zone where the interstate was down to two way traffic-21 year guy in a pick up truck for some reason (not in story yet) crossed the center line, plows right into the four bikers, killed all four of em. What a tragedy for everyone-the four guys killed and their families, the driver who I would think will have the book thrown at him. Oh, look back, perhaps he got four of em instead of two as they may have been bunched up abit-myself I can't stand riding at speed bunched up, helmets not on but story says it probably won't have made a difference. What a tragedy.

You can go to Omaha.com for more info or perhaps other area papers or even national.

One of the four had a helmet on. The radio said the driver was treated and relesed from the hospital. There working on I-29 clear down to the misouri line and the speed limit is 50 in the work areas. A couple of the guys are from glenwood Ia one from Omaha and one from perciville Ia. The reduced speed probably bunched them up.

Bikehandle.
god, save me from my fondest wish!

Sad, very sad. Five families lives changed for ever...
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA lets go again baby !!!!!!

'82 Vision, Pearl Orange finish, lots of up-grades!!!

Sad, sad,  the four guys were all aged 40-60, all coming back from Sturgis, apparently all good friends, Some of them were American Legion riders from the same post,  long term bike riders, from the pictures it appears they all had nice bikes. Bikehandle is probably correct, going at slower speeds in the work zone most likely meant they were bunched up more then if the speeds were higher.  Of course if a cager all the suddenly comes directly at you in your lane most likely something bad is going to happen. Probably no charges against the young driver of the PU truck till his blood tests back, the news story says that will take a few weeks, really???

Well we all know we are at greater risk on our bikes then in a cage, hopefully we will never see a story like this again. You know I think this so called "Little Sioux" area in Iowa has bad karma over there, it is the area a tornado killed some boyscouts a year or two ago (at a boyscout camp). Bad karma over there!
