Tiger, that's an interesting tip with the auto center punch, thanks! I don't think the spring in mine would have had the "punch" to dislodge one that was really stuck. Although, just maybe... if I rapidly depressed it numerous times like a mini jackhammer!!??

:) NO!!!, you should only need one maybe two (gentle) presses to move it out. If its really bad, try using some penetrating fluid first...leave it for 10/15 minutes and then try again.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA lets go again baby !!!!!!

'82 Vision, Pearl Orange finish, lots of up-grades!!!

Using Berrymans carburetor and parts cleaner and metal isn't coming as clean as I hoped for. Recently someone mentioned other liquids that might be used, I can't find that post so would ya'll be kind enough to list different cleaners, chemicals that might brighten up carbs and clean also.  Thanks.     BDC

Man, you sure are taking the fun out of it.  :(

Re-Vision I tried Yamaha's carb dip. The first set only looked so so after an overnight dip. The ones I'm working on know I left in for several days checking progress occasionally.  They came out with the aluminm a more consistent (new like) color and crud that had etched the bottom of the bowls also was removed.
