Purchased an '82 Vision and need something clarified.

The bike wasn't running at the time it was purchased and the seller was a little suspect, but long story short..

When she's in neutral my ONLY options are to click down x4. 1 up from neutral does nothing.

My assumption is that the gear box was put on backwards and that first is gone or broken.

Has anyone heard of such a thing? Was there some brief period when 1 up, 4 down was actually an option? lol

This one is pretty easy, somebody has merely misassembled the shift linkage. Reverse the position of the arm on the shift shaft and you will be back in business. Also be careful in the position for easier shifting, right angles are best.

i knew that one but was secretly hoping the gearbox was in backwards, i wanted pics ;)
