Vision won't start unless if I jump the relay

I have been lurking this forum for a couple months now trying to get my 83 vision up and going.  Thanks to this forum I have replaced the starter clutch as well as the stator and saved a ton of money in the process by sourcing parts from other bikes.  But now the problem I have is the bike will not start unless if I jump the starter relay, I have replaced the relay, jumped the clutch switch, and I am getting 12 volts at the ignition fuse.  I tried jumping the side stand switch as well.  It seems that I am not getting any power on the blue/white wire going to the starter relay.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  It runs great once I jump the relay and I am trying to get it ready in time for vintage days.

The question is, are you getting twelve Volts to the Starter Relay Coil? If you measure twelve Volts at the Starter Relay Coil's small red wire to a good Ground, then you need to look for the reason you're not getting a ground through the Starter Switch (Blue/White wire) when it's pushed.  My first guess is a bad Starter Switch. Keep us informed.     BDC

Yes I am getting 12 volts at the red/white wire at the starter relay if I use my test leads to the battery ground.  I will look at the starter switch, the weird thing is that it functioned properly before I put the new stator in, thinking I may have broke a wire while taking the side cover off or didn't put something back together properly.

Connect a jumper from ground to small Black wire of Starter Relay Coil or short out with a screwdriver between the terminal that goes directly to Battery Ground and the small Black wire of Starter Relay Coil. If it now starts you can fix the Starter Button.    BDC

I was mistaken I am only getting 9 volts on the signal wire to the relay/solenoid but when I press in the starter button it drops to 0 volts, I also have a good ground at the relay the blue/white wire. I took apart the switch and cleaned the contacts and I am getting a good ground at the switch. The kill switch relay is working properly as well.  Still trying to figure out why I only have 9 volts and then it drops to 0

I am now getting 11.6 volts at the small red/white wire going to the starter relay/solenoid.  When the starter button is pressed it drops to around 0 volts.  I'm about to just rig up a push button switch that bypasses most of the system

Confirm Battery Voltage is 12 Volts. Make sure Main Fuse and Ignition Fuse are okay and are making good contact with fuse holders. Next step will be to ascertain that Starter Relay will operate with +12 Volts and Ground applied across Starter Relay coil. We can fix this problem one step at a time.  BDC
