Aerokroil is fantastic stuff - but hard to find.  PB Blaster is about as good & readily available.

If you have an accident on a motorcycle, it's always your fault. Tough call, but it has to be that way. You're in the right, and dead -on a bike. The principle is not to have any accident. If you're involved in an an accident, it's because you did not anticipate. Then, by default, you failed.

I didn't suggest PBlaster  because it would take a case of it to build up a quantity in the bottom of the muffler . But I think it would work . i think I'll try it!

You could try spraying it in and slowly rotating the assembly.  It's supposed to have a capillary action to penetrate between parts.  It might take a while, but spraying some in, letting it sit for an hour, then turning the assembly & going after the next area - repeating until it has been done to the entire circumfrence a couple times.

Tried the P blaster and it didn't help.  It stuck good.  I was able to tap it forward a bit (1/8th inch) to loosen it up but can't pull it back.

Corks on the end and give it some gas next???   LOL

Not a major deal though.  Just had some time between semesters and wanted to take care of a few things on my YJdo list before I hit the mammoth honeydo list.  Getting ready to sell a house is not fun..... (tell ya bout it in another post)

Maybe filling with phosphoric acid would eat enough rust to make something movable.

Thanks, Tanno - I like how they say it's not for retail sale or personal use -- industrial use only.  But, $10 a can!?!  Kind of 'spensive.  Might have to get some anyway . . ..

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA lets go again baby !!!!!!
