Spark plug

Hello, I have FINALLY got my Vision back together after painting for second time in a year! Pin holes(kreem, Ya(sarcasm)) anyway while riding today I got on it hard and started missing when I stopped the rear cylinder spark plug boot had been blown off, is there any reason why this plug keeps doing this? I could use specs for torque on spark plus maybe I didnt tighten it enough but only happens on rear cylinder. Also, Love this site...been coming here for months since last spring when I bought my '82 from junk man for $50, Ride on!

The boot may not be fitting tight enough to either the treaded cap end of the plug, the porcelain, or both. Does it happen on any plug you put into the rear cyl?

check your drain holes , if any moisture is in there ,and cant get out,, it turns to steam,and will pop your boots ,,, clean the holes, torque your plugs correctly , and try again .

Yes, any plug just rear cylinder. I'll check the drain hole, Thanks!

In case anyone who doesnt know where it is, is the small hole in the side of the head at the spark plug side of each cylinder, the one plugged with dirt and mung.
