I've seen a kit for rebuilding the master cylinder what about the caliber? Is there a place online I can pick up a kit? Thanks

I believe I purchased mine from dgy.com, however, they to not be supporting the Vision anymore  ???  However, you could try Power Motor Sports, they may carry them (according to their fiche.).  I purchased number 8 on the fiche, number 11, and number 10.  Basically the piston assembly, and the two boots that go on the sliders.  Mine was in really bad shape.  According to this, that would run you 71.00 or so.  You can probably get them cheaper by just purchasing the seals.

And if you have an 82, you're lucky, I had to rebuild 2 front brakes on my 83.

Yes, it adds up for the '83.  I got my calipers put back together with new boots and pistons tonight, but not on the bike yet.   I could not believe the amount of crud that was in the calipers.

If you still need stainless steel brake lines, PM Fiat Doctor and see if he has any left.  My 3 piece set for the '83 was $80

I pulled forward my brake line swap in general board, pictures still work. Unfortunately this doesn't help your possible wheel cylinder problem.

Some of you may be alarmed by what I'm going to tell you about, but it works , literally thousands of bikes have had there brakes rebuilt in this way , including mine.
It was taught to me by my former boss, Randy Lane at MMS in Salem OR.
Randy had me reuse all the rubber parts when rebuilding brake calipers, more over he had me apply a VERY SMALL amount of silicon brake grease to the square O rings . NOT enough to cause contamination of the brake fluid , but just enough to cause and almost imperceptible refreshing of the rubber. he always cautioned NOT TOO MUCH!  Almost a wipe it on ,wipe it off.

Almost all the bikes worked on at MMS are old and no one wants to spend any money on them or wait very long for parts to be found ,  Randy came up with lots of tricks to keep them running.

Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there in lurks the skid demon

:) I rebuilt two calipers a couple of weeks ago and the rebuild kits had a small sachet of silicon grease in them...Makes for easier reassembly as well 8)

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA lets go again baby !!!!!!

'82 Vision, Pearl Orange finish, lots of up-grades!!!
