Having drooled over the new HD XR1200  at Mother Road,   I reread the road test in Cycle World. it reveals that the bike has a flapper valve in the air box, to optimize the air flow . Its controlled by the ECM. I wonder where they got that idea?

Rick, Did you get to ride the XR1200? I took one for a short ride 3 weeks ago, real brakes, good power. Probbaly the best Harley I've ever riden.
When I came back from the test ride, there was a guy wating to buy it, he did'nt even ride it, he said I'll take it sign me up. They asked me if I wanted to buy it, if not it was sold. First time I've ever been in that position.  I don't know what he paid but I'll bet there was no hot deals.
