no more YICS? that is like a 3 legged race horse!

The YICS is practically useless, i dont think anyone has been able to quantify an appreciable difference with it on or with it off.
It's really just a factory gimmick. The intake feedback spring effect im sure does something, but only to very specific rpm bands and not a big effect at that.
Sure looks cool though, all shiny and such.

thinking about putting it, (yikes), back on, unplugged, but after paint and possibly stamp painting the letters,, the plastic cover layer is peeling..Its gotta go.  Overall Im thinking pearl dark green/gold , W/gold metal flake in the clear... including plastics. re-painting the letters with a stamp method on a potato or something.

Jason Morris has related his experience as a motorcycle tech in those years . He tells us the YIKS was designed for the 4 cylinder engines and is of zero value on the 2 cylinder Vision . The Viagra did even have one.
I finally pulled mine off, due to its failure after being repaired 6 or 7 years ago. and the only difference I can detect is, I had to adjust the idle.

I took mine off once, and thought that I could notice the difference - but in the end it might come down to how (bad) the engine is tuned, wether it can be noticed or not...

my viagra had a MCV , mixture control valve.. same thing as the yics,, essentially a large vacuum leak. Capped off. My next question is this,, dont be offended please..The bike works great, shows perfect sync, currently no vac leaks, revs to redline with no struggle, for giggles Ive been changing gears up around 9k,,,,,,???? is this bike kinda slow???? Maybe its rich from being at 6500 feet up here?

I don't know which size or year Viagara you have , but the 750's run OK , but there no ball of fire. I have been told that the 1100's,are no  faster than the 920's  but pull better riding double.

My son-in-law had an 82 750, which we modified a bit . We removed the Rototiller handle bars and installed a set salvaged from a CB750 Honda , very similar to the western bar used on Triumph's.
We used a Vision master cylinder, as the stock one sits at a weird angle . The gas tank was from a XV920, which held nearly a gallon more. Lastly we sustituted a Vision rear wheel for lighter handling.
The pegs on '82's aren't that far forward, so it worked pretty well

kewl mixture.. my 920, with custom pipes from previous owner,, and my overcoming the shortcoming of the EPA tuning.. has LOTS of torque and speed, too.. especially since I sync'ed the carbs..  so you put a viagra tank on the vision??

No, this was a 750 Viagara  , with a 18 inch Vision rear wheel , instead of the chubby, 16 inch stocker.
The gas tank came off of a XV920 , not a Virago. The one with the chain drive.
It also it had a a set of aftermarket sportster style pipes.

Again with the epa stuff  ??? Look if the bike wasnt running right, you monkeyed with the sync and suddenly it was running better its not because the big bad epa just wants to ruin everyones day, its because the custom pipes the previous owner put on there jacked up the flow rate of the head and the perfectly fine from the factory tuning was incapable of keeping up with end user changes.
