Ok, I have no problem starting up now. When I do get the choke down now, the revs are at about 4000. Whats my next step, I know I have to sync the carbs, is there anything else?

you do know there's a thumbscrew to adjust the idle speed right?

restrictors/connectors at the top of the yardstick in both hoses and at the ends to couple to the bike. Keep it even. I used final gear fluid and connectors from napa.

Juno, sounds like you are close but need the shop manual if you don't already have one. If it runs 4000...damn  back off the BIG idle adjust screw and NV states. If it runs and dies...you clogged low speed jets or carbs are WAAAAY out of sync. I know a well tune "V" only needs to run 1 minute on choke and will idle.  Idle low rpm, but idle. Once warmed up should idle  ~1300
looks aren't important, if she lets you play by your rules
