Oil Level Question

I used to run mineral oil, but I switched to Castrol Power1 GPS Semi Syth at last oil change on the recommendation from the shop.    It cost $75 for 4 litres, that's about $49USD/US gallon and about 50% more than the mineral oils.  However they said if I didn't notice an improvement they would give my money back, so I thought it was worth a shot.

What an immense difference.  It starts better, idles smother, shfts better, and accellerates way faster, and definately no cluch slip or leaking so far.  Really, it's like the difference between the 400 and the 550 - a totally new bike.

Mineral oil? as in the stuff that is also a laxative ?

I just put mineral oil into a mountain bikes brakes yesterday.
Most of the Shimano stuff runs on it.


Funny story.... i need to get some mineral oil for a bike... quickly.
i was driving all around town, asking people for it, and getting odd looks.

i finally get to a pharmacy and the guy sends me to the laxative section....

Now i know why everyone was looking at me funny when i said i want 2l of the stuff for work....
