Which petcock kit is best?

I was wondering if the formed gasket on #1 kit for the fueltank would be better than the simple o-ring one in #2 kit.

I'm guessing assembly would be a bit easier with the formed gasket. IMHO

The o-ring is well seated in a fairly deep grove - theres not much room for movement.  I wouldn't think it matters much.

Did you notice the line that said
This picture is a stock photo...it is not the actual kit you will recieve...you will recieve the one that is listed in the title.

As they are both for K&L you may get the same regardless.  I would ask the seller a question before committing to paying that extra $9

My cursory reading of the ad seemed to indicate that there was one kit that applied to both '82s and '83s.  If so, NOT.  The two years have very different petcocks.
