I may have a set for you I'll have to dig through some things in the attic.
I wonder what the shipping would be from stateside to NZ, might be out of worthwhile range.

on the flipside though, I am looking for a pair of carb mixture screws, the ones that
I have are missing a few pieces.

getting late for me to do that tonight, I'll get out there tomorrow and update you.

ok, yes.
82 carbs looking for a pair of mixture screws, the springs, washer and o-rings?
I got a set of carbs with parts missing that I'd like to get working.
wish I could find a diagram to show you what I mean but the manual falls down on that one.
I checked Bike bandit and they have the same picture ( not so helpful )

thanks

I'd recommend replacing the lot with new.  They are maintenance items (especially the 0-ring) - I got them from dealer for a fairly reasonable sum.

BTW there's no washer in the pilot screw assembly, though there is on the mains [EDIT]
BTW There is no washer on the fiche for part 61, but there really should be

well that is actually why I wanted to include a picture because we aren't talking about the same thing.

the one on the far right closely matches what I'm referrin to:

screws, spring, washer and o-rings.

(edit)

Yes, that's the 61 part - Pilot adjustment screw assy.
I cracked open my carb, and indeed there is a tiny washer there not shown in the fiche.

Sorry for the mis-info.

ArrrGeee

no worries,
I didn't see number 61 in the diagram before, no matter.
ok, good news,  I have your badges, they will fit in a regular envelope so we should be good.
pm me you address info and I'll get it out first thing tomorrow.
I found a brief article explaining how to get them removed with a thin piece of wire or dental floss for that matter.
I know you mentioned fishing line but I wasn't quite sure what you meant.
  this worked quite well.

on the other topic, anyone with a spare set of mixture screws perhaps ?

thanks

-Ron

Re-Vision

I haven't forgotten you, was waiting on final determination of what part you need. If this photo is what you need, I have two with springs but no washers or O rings.      BDC

The Prophet of Doom

I ordered in some o-rings just the other day, and got a couple of spares. So I can send a couple your way in an envelope - PM me your address.

The specs if anyone needs them...
3mm x 1mm 0-ring for the mixture screw

7.5 mm x 1.5mm 0-ring for the float valve
I got both in Viton

The Prophet of Doom

Fishing line is the thin nylon stuff you hang hooks on to go fishing.  Don't know what it's called in USA, but yeah, dental floss is probably even better as it's self lubricating and unbelievably strong.

People go on and on about postal services, but I recon 7 days flat from America to New Zealand is pretty brilliant.

The badges are much better than I thought they would be from the pic - these need no remedial work at all - even on my sparkly bike.
Awesome.  Thanks Ron
