I have tried to find a rebuild kit for my 1983 petcock with no luck.  I replaced some gaskets, but still have an annoying small fuel drip.  Then I remembered on my old service truck's Kohler engine had a leak on the fuel tank, and was not available to replace.  So about 8 years ago we applied a product called SEAL ALL , made in the USA, well to this day it still does not leak.  So I bought a tube and applied it around the petcock and no more drip.  It comes in a tube like silicon and with fuel still in it you just apply and within minutes stops the leak.  If you have a small fuel tank leak or like my petcock,, try it, for six bucks, heck my service trucks tank still does leak to this day.
